Abstract

The article analyzes the benchmark testing in Ukraine as the most effective mechanism dealing with the quality of goods and services in the consumer market.

Concepts of development of an independent benchmark testing of goods and services in Ukraine are based predominantly on the practical experience of the European countries. They aim to create common approaches to organization and implementation of an independent testing for the benefit of consumers.

However, the Ukrainian market of goods and services differs from the European one, which results in the adjustment of the basic principles of the independent benchmark testing: the consumers' right for safety, the right to be informed, freedom of choice, the right to be heard.

The ability of a consumer to act on equal terms with a powerful advertising trade production system seems to be correct, but far from the current market conditions. The current state of the issue has not been yet fully formulated by the society itself
