Abstract

The results of the carried out simulation on the effect of operating parameters of the two-axle vehicle on wheels interaction with the deformable wheel support surface are presented in the given paper. The design model is selected and modeling of the vehicle-road system is carried out, taking into account the dynamic forces acting on the wheel while driving and various properties of the supporting surface. For the chosen design scheme there was carried out mathematical modeling of the support base deformation process caused by dynamic loading of vehicle wheels. The developed dynamic model provides the ability to display the process of wheels contacting with the supporting surface, taking into account the design and operational features of the vehicle (speed, weight of individual components and mechanisms, stiffness and damping of the suspension and tires), as well as consider the characteristics of the flexible support base - ground (static and dynamic modulus of soil deformation and viscosity parameter). The results of the carried out simulation of the interaction process of the vehicle with the deformable supporting surface can be applied at the analysis of design features of wheels, at drawing conclusions concerning the degree of their influence on the supporting surface with low bearing capacity and while determining the possibility of vehicle off-road operating
