The course of varicella in immunocompetent unvaccinated children is typical and uncomplicated. Atypical forms are rare. Bullous varicella is one of these forms. A clinical case of atypical bullous varicella in the preschooler was analyzed. The disease that had typical moderate course initially, aggravated later with specific erythematous-bullous skin lesions. The early hospitalization and an adequate treatment of the patient under the national guidelines led to his fast complete recovery and showed effectiveness of such therapy. The vaccination with live attenuated varicella vaccine is the single effective method to prevent severe complicated disease, though it is recommended to be included to the Immunization Calendar of Ukraine for obvious vaccination of healthy children, as it was done in many countries of the world.References
