Focus and Scope

Military Scientific Journal consists of articles taken from history of Ukraine, world history, history of local wars and modern armed conflicts, history of armament and military material.

Peer Review Process

Military Scientific Journal consists of articles taken from history of Ukraine, world history, history of local wars and modern armed conflicts, history of armament and military material. 

All articles undergo double “closed” reviewing by specialists in the designated field and/or by reviewing party personnel which is an anonymous for authors and reviewer. The decision on reviewer selection is made by reviewing party. Reviewing of scientific article lasts for 4 weeks.

The article is reviewed in accordance with the following points:

  1. Article originality.
  2. Correspondence between the title of the article and its content.
  3. The structure and the division of writing the main body.
  4. Selection of sources of literature
  5. Method of using sources of literature
  6. Attaining of a stated goal.
  7. Justification of conclusion
  8. Lingua-stylistic level of the article.

Based on the results received after reviewing, comments are provided on scientific article publication: an article can be published in its original structure; an article can be published after some slight changes being made (justified); an article can be published after huge amendments; an article cannot be published at all (justified why).

Open Access Policy

This magazine has a policy of immediate open access to the published information supporting the principles of free dissemination of scientific data and global exchange of knowledge in the need of common social progress.

 

Journal History

The first issue of the Military Scientific Journal was published in 2000. The journal is issued twice a year. Since then, 44 issues have been published. The Journal is included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine in which the results of dissertations for obtaining the scientific degrees of Doctor of Sciences, Candidate of Sciences, and Doctor of Philosophy may be published (Category B, Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 409, dated March 17, 2020).
