Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • This submission has not previously been issued and not yet been sent for consideration to other journals (or the necessary explanation are given below in comments to the editor).
  • Submission file is a document in the format of Microsoft Word, RTF.
  • The Internet links in the text are accompanied by complete correct URL addresses.
  • Text is typed in 14 size font with one and a half line spacing; author’s emphasizes are in italics and are not underlined (everywhere except the URL addresses); all artwork, graphics, and tables are placed directly in the text, where they should be according to the content (but not at the end of the document).
  • The text meets the requirements to the style and bibliography, which are set in Author guidelines of the section “About the Journal”.
  • If the Material is submitted to the reviewed section of the journal, the instructions regarding to Blind Peer Review have been executed.

Author Guidelines

The editorial board of the journal ”Digital Platform: Information Technologies in Sociocultural Sphere” accepts scientific articles with research and development materials.

Articles’ manuscripts should be made subject to such requirements.

Article structure

The article begins with an annotation, which is given:

  • research purpose;
  • research methods;
  • scientific novelty;
  • conclusions.

1. The main text of an article should begin with an introduction, written in a form accessible to the understanding of a wide range of specialists in the science field. The introduction sets out the problem in general terms and coverage of its connection with important scientific or practical tasks.

2. The main part of the article describes and thoroughly explains the statements and results obtained during the research. You should not overload the article with a large number of formulas, duplicating the same results in tables and charts. It is advisable to avoid long table names and drawings. The terms and abbreviations adopted in the text of the article should be used. Indications and little-known terms should be explained.

3. The final part should contain an example (if possible) illustrating the results effectiveness obtained and conclusions that reflect the main results and prospects for further research. The conclusions should be in full agreement with the content of the main text.

4. The main text of the article should be divided into sections with names that reflect their content (introduction, research findings, conclusions).

Article volume:

  • Review-generalization character - up to 17 pages of A4 format;
  • problematic nature - up to 14 pages of A4 format;
  • about solving a specific scientific problem - 7-10 pages of A4 format;

Rules for the designation and submission of articles

You must submit to the editorial office:

  • electronic version of the article’s manuscript (using the flash media or send to the e-mail address of the editorial office);
  • accompanying documents (if necessary).

The manuscript must be thoroughly checked and signed by all authors. Further corrections and additions are not allowed.

The article’s manuscript is prepared with the following requirements:

The article should be written in Ukrainian (English) and printed on one side of the A4 sheet.

1. To prepare the article, use the Microsoft Office Word text editor using Times New Roman font size 14 pt. with an interline interval 1.5.

2. Article structure

2.1. In the upper left-hand corner of the manuscript you need to specify the UDC index (Times New Roman, 14 pt., bold, left).

2.2. Name and surname of the author, his position, degree (as indicated in the dimly: Ph.D. or PhD), academic rank, place of work, e-mail (font size 12, lowercase letters, italics - on the left edge of the article);

The next line ORCID-identifier of the author (ORCID ID) (see: https://orcid.org) - on the left-hand side of the article;

2.3. After one paragraph, the title of the article (in bold, uppercase, centered, (Times New Roman, 14 pt.));

2.4. After the title (indent - one paragraph line), an annotation is given (200-300 words). The abstract contains brief information on the purpose, methodology, scientific novelty and main findings of the study. The word "annotation" is not indicated before the annotation text (Times New Roman, 12 pt., italic, page width, single line spacing).

2.5. From the new line under the title (italics) “Keywords:”; is a list of keywords (Times New Roman, 12 pt., page width, single line spacing).

2.6. From the new line is Introduction (all subtitles in the article are Times New Roman, 14 pt., bold, from the paragraph, indent from the top is 10 pt.).

2.7. The following is the main text of the article Research results which outlines the applied research methods and briefly describes the material on which the research was conducted and the results of the study, which set out the main material of the study with the justification of the scientific results obtained (Times New Roman, 14 pt., in width of the page, with a single line spacing);

2.8. Next are conclusions.

2.10. The new line contains a list of references made according to the Harvard Referencing Style, in the form of a general list in alphabetical order. In the text of the manuscript references to literature are taken in parentheses and contain information about the author and the year of publication (for example, (Ivanov, 2015)). References to unpublished works are not allowed (Times New Roman, 14 pt., in width, with a line spacing of 1.5).

Below is Reference, where the names of works written in non-Roman languages (Ukrainian, Belarusian, Serbian, etc.), the names and surnames of their authors should be transliterated.

The following are:

3. Information about the authors (in Ukrainian): surname, first name, middle name (without abbreviations, bold, italics), scientific degree, academic rank, position, full name of the institution, city, e-mail address of the author responsible for the article (Times New Roman, 10 Fri, left).

4. English is given the name and authorship information. Annotation text is in English.

5. The International System of Units should be used in the article (CI).

6. Formulas are typed in the formula editor (Equation 3.0 or Math Type) using only Latin and Greek letters. Cyrillic letters, in particular, in indices, are not allowed. Each formula is typed as one object (full-14 pt.; subscript -is10 pt.; sub-subscript / superscript is 8 pt.; symbol is 16 pt.). To indicate variables in the text, do not use the formula editor except where necessary (for example, a variable with upper and lower indices).

7. Illustrations are included in the text of the article (without OLE-links, each illustration is one object) after the first reference to it. Signatures under the drawings are presented immediately under the picture (Times New Roman font, 12 pt., and alignment: in the center, example: Figure 1. Picture name).

8. Each table should have a heading and number. If the table is presented in the article, the table number is aligned on the right-hand side (Times New Roman, 12 pt., italic, for example, Table 1), and the table name is written in the next line (Times New Roman, 12 pt., alignment: center)

9. Use only the following quotes: “.....”. If there are quotation marks in quotation marks, use the system of double quotes (foot paws): «...” ... “...»

10. It is necessary to distinguish the dash (–) and hyphen (-): the difference is the size and availability of spaces before and after the dash.

11. The apostrophe sign should look like this: ( ’ ).

12. Numbering of pages in the article is not posted.

13. An example of the execution of an article can be found on the website of the journal.

Manuscripts of articles drawn up with violations of these requirements and rules are not considered.

The fee is not paid to the authors.
