It is considered the most appropriate algorithms for the formation of the key competencies of the students in a particular mode of learning. It is mentioned about need for reforms in the education system. Shows the main directions of the competence-oriented learning strategies. A search for the most promising technologies of formation of competences. Presents the results of monitoring the subjects of the educational process. Argued that the curriculum of the schools of Olympic reserve must have a clear practical orientation. It is proposed to use the interdisciplinary approach to learning.
