Abstract

The article describes basic principles, tasks and process of forming the image of the territory as a separate region and the country as a whole. Three groups of factors that influence the formation of the territory's image are considered. The image of a separate region on the example of the Kharkiv region is explored and practical possibilities of applying image management in relation to the socio-economic development of the district as a whole and rural areas are proposed through the development of rural green tourism. The model of influence of image management as an active tool of socio-economic development of the district is proposed
