Abstract

In installations for the production of low-temperature liquid carbon dioxide of low and average productivity using gaseous CO2 extracted from the combustion of natural gas. Extraction CO2 is carried in the unit absorption-desorption, consuming large quantities of heat. Consumption of heat in a unit depends on the properties of the absorbent. Most of the units of absorption/desorption is used as an absorbent water solution of monoethanolamine (MEA). Except the MEA also discussed other absorbents amine groups. Calculations taking into account subject to the kinetic and thermodynamic properties of these indicated solutions revealed that the consumption of heat in the boiler and deflegmatore reaches a minimum when using an water solution of 10 % MEA and 40 % MDEA (methyldiethanolamine). The load on these machines in the case of application of the absorbent is reduced by 2-4 times compared with an aqueous solution of the IEA.
