THE EFFICIENCY INCREASE OF THE COMPRESSOR LINE OF CARBON DIOXIDE FEEDING TO CARBAMIDE PRODUCTION

Carbamide is highly effective fertilizer which is produced in the synthesis unit under the pressure of 15 MPa and the temperature of 180 °С as a result of gaseous carbon dioxide and liquid ammonia interaction. Gaseous carbon dioxide is fed to carbamide synthesis by means of a compressor line which productivity strongly differs under winter and summer operation conditions. For stabilization of the compressor line operation during the summer period of working some designs of modernization of the preliminary cooling of gaseous СО2 system located in front of the feeding СО2 compressor line are considered. As a result of introduction of the proposed solutions it is possible to reach the operating parameters of the СО2 compression line appropriate to winter working conditions. Therefore, the productivity of the carbon dioxide compression line during the summer and winter periods of working will be identical.
