Abstract

The problem of phase synthesis for antenna arrays according to the prescribed amplitude radiation pattern (RP) is considered. The phase distributions of excitation currents in the array’s elements are the optimizing parameters. Variational statement of the synthesis problems allows to form the amplitude RP close to the given one. The special restrictions to the synthesized amplitude RP as well as the satisfying the additional requirements on the level of radiation in a near zone can be taken into account.

Optimization of the considered functionals is reduced to solving the corresponding nonlinear system of the equations, or the gradient methods are used. Results of numerical modeling based on the developed software are given.
