Abstract

Partial dielectric filling of the rectangular waveguide is used in the slotted waveguide array with frequency scanning. To achieve the desired slowdown factor of the main mode a waveguide filled with some dielectric plates with different dielectric permittivities is used. The influence of air gaps that arise due to gapping between the plates and the broad wall of the waveguide at the main LM-mode slowdowning is studied in this paper. The comparison of simulation results with experimental data is made.
