Objectives: To examine the individual that takes management decisions as counterpart project-oriented organization; to identify causal relationships that lead to a lack of time of students; to identify constraints in the model of time management of a student; to build a model of time management and make recommendations on its use. It is used general scientific methods, such as: system analysis, structural analysis, inconsistencies, their consequences and causes of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), project management methods. To visualize the causation factors studied by the classification it is used Ishikawa diagram. The following results are obtained. In the article, the authors developed a model of time management activities in project-oriented organizations. Research conducted on materials where strategic management of project-oriented organization is considered as an example of self-management student, who in turn acts analogous to project-oriented organization. The model included the use of extensiveness factor of life time, factor of loss and the actual rate of reserve of time. Applied part is implemented using Business Studio software. Conclusions. When analyzing and building models of causality was found several reasons for ineffective time management system of resource providing of strategic project of management on the example of the target group of students, each of which is considered as an analogue of project-oriented organizations. The recommendations for improving the process of time management in personal strategic planning through the use of the constructed model are given.
