Prospects and shortcomings of the use of solid granules of carbon dioxide are considered. A new method for determining the relative extinguishing effectiveness of combined quenching is proposed to minimize the quenching time and decrease the amount of fire extinguishing agents. It is proposed to develop bench experimental equipment to determine the relative extinguishing effectiveness of a combined method of quenching oil products by combining solid carbon dioxide granules and a foaming agent
