The article provides information about the history of electric drilling; performance indicators of electric drilling are shown. The design and features of the serial electric drills, their components and assemblies are described in detail. Design reliability and experience of use are estimated.
Theoretical calculations made by Professor Kikot O.V. provide an opportunity to create a new design of electric drill DC. The conceptual design of such electric drill together with construction advantages is provided.
New electric drill will allow quickly change the frequency of the bit rotation and increase drilling penetration rate
