State of the Ukrainian banking sector in the current geopolitical conditions was researched. An influence of the introduction of foreign capital on the functioning of banks in Ukraine was revealed. Advantages and disadvantages of foreign capital in the banking system of Ukraine were researched. Activity of banks with foreign capital and its impact on macroeconomic performance was analyzed and structure and quality of the loan portfolio and deposit portfolio of banks with foreign capital was compared
