Приведены примеры катастрофических последствий и экономического ущерба от Новороссийской боры. Возникновение боры является следствием процессов непреодолимой силы, а существующие сценарии изменения климатических условий предполагают в будущем учащение боры и увеличение силы этого особо опасного явления погоды. Рассмотрены причины возникновения боры и перспективы прогнозирования шквальных ветров и оледенения судов в Новороссийске
