Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • This submission has not previously been published or forwarded to other editions (or comments are provided below).

  • The submission file is a document in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, RTF or WordPerfect format.
  • Full-text URLs are included in the text links in the text.

  • The text is typed in the 12th size of the bowling alley with a single line spacing; the author's accents are in italics, and underlines (everywhere except URLs); all illustrations, graphs, and tables are placed directly in the text, where they should be in content (and not at the end of the document).
  • The text complies with the stylistics and bibliography requirements set out in the About the Journal Authors Guide.

  • If the material is submitted to a peer-reviewed journal section, the instructions for the Blind Review Guarantee were followed when designing the submission file. 

Author Guidelines

Requirements for the preparation of articles in the scientific and technical collection "Energy-Efficiency in Civil Engineering and Architecture" of the Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture.

Original research and discussion materials are accepted for publication. The articles are subject to double review, including by independent specialists involved by the editorial board.

Correspondents give the publisher the copyright to texts and written permission to reproduce pictures and tables from previously unpublished or copyrighted materials.

The editors adhere to the ethical norms of scientific publication. Articles together with other accompanying documents, submitted for publication in the collection must undergo a preliminary examination procedure. 

1. Requirements for registration and structure of the article: 

1.1. Requirements for the file: the file must be created in the Word editor and saved in the * .doc format. Minimum article size: 10 thousand printed characters without spaces (min 0.25 author letter according to MES requirements, drawings, table. are taken into account) the maximum is 40 thousand characters (1 author letter). If it is intended to publish the material in parts in several issues of the collection, then each part should be completed with the note "Continuation (ending) will be". On the pages with the beginning of each next part of the material published in a footnote or in front of the text make a note "Continuation (ending)" and indicate the issue number of publications in which the previous parts of this material are printed. 

 1.2. Format and format requirements: 

1) A4 format, top and bottom margins 2.5 cm, left and right 2 cm; font Times New Roman; Headers 1.3 cm, paragraph indentation 0.5 cm; the size of the main text 12, annotations and literature 11, line spacing 1

2) article (* .doc) is formatted into two columns of 8 cm with an interval of 1 cm; set the automatic transfer of words

3) the names of tables and signatures under the figures (size 11) are placed on the left of the graphic object; in the Cyrillic texts - duplicate in English (in the row below)

4) links in the text of the article - no more than five in one place

5) in the list of references - no less than 20 references (mainly scientific articles and monographs) are made in accordance with DSTU 8302: 2015 - list the literature is duplicated in English (References are formatted according to the ARA standard) when transliteration is used, the original language is indicated in brackets, for example: (in Ukrainian), (in Russian) - do not use references to GOSTs, national standards, and publications of non-scientific content - referring to internet, give the full name and output of the publication - the percentage of self-citations is no more than 30% (i.e. if you used 20 references, of which there should be no more than 6 of your works) - the percentage of references to foreign sources is not less than 60% (i.e. if you used 20 links, of which there should be less than 12 for foreign sources).

6) at the end of the English-language articles posted an annotation in Russian; in other articles - in English

1.3. Structuring of the article: Initial data (Arial font): name of the manuscript (n/w, size 14), author's name (italics, size 12), place of work, postal address, e-mail, ORCID (size 10); if there are several authors, they are marked with digital footnotes; leave 5 blank lines between the top field of the sheet, the original data and the main text of the article - the title of the article is informative and short (up to 10 words are recommended)

1.4. The structure of the article:

- ANNOTATION (at least 1800 characters) - the structure of the annotation is similar to the structure of the article, without the use of abbreviations and abbreviations, all explanations are given in the text

- KEYWORDS (5-8 words)

- INTRODUCTION

 - PURPOSE AND METHODS

 - RESULTS AND EXPLANATION

- CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS (it is also necessary to determine the prospects for further research)

- REFERENCES (at least 20 sources located in the order of their mention in the text of the article)

- REFERENCES - tables and figures are placed after the first mention of them, and large (full width of the sheet) from erhu, or bottom of the page (not breaking at the same time both columns of text) - illustration - in formats * .jpg, * .tif with a resolution of at least 300 dpi1.5. Design of the article: - write straightforward - numbers, Greek letters, Cyrillic alphabet, trigonometric functions (tan, sin, etc.), Steady expressions (max, const, etc.), Chemical elements; Italic - English symbols of formulas, Roman numerals, explication numbers; - between the formulas, pictures, tables and text, leave one blank line; - formulas (size 12-9-7-16-12) enter into Eq.3 or MathType 6.0 and center; numbering - on the right of the column; - tables and figures - do not exceed the sheet printing area; - abbreviated words "Table." (Table), "Fig." (Fig.) Write with a capital letter (in the title - n / f) the text in the field of drawings is minimized, the explanation is given in the captions under the drawings.

2. ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTS

The materials in the collection are submitted to the editorial staff at the same time.

Article - through the online system, accompanying materials - by e-mail.

The package of accompanying documents includes:

 - Scientific review (according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1111 of 17.10.2012, paragraphs 2.11 and 3.1.) For the graduate student and applicant for the scientific degree of candidate of sciences - review of the candidate or doctor of science. For a doctoral student and a candidate for a doctoral degree, Doctor of Science. For Candidate of Science - candidate of science, associate professor or leading specialist. The name of the reviewer is indicated at the end of the article and must be printed in the Bulletin. The review must be certified in the personnel department by the seal. The article with the signature of the reviewer remains in the editorial office for 2 years. The main points of the review: "The work of the full name, the title, performed in accordance with the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine and recommended to print as containing novelty in... Reviewer: scientific title, degree, place of work, full name." The reviewer of the article is morally responsible for the recommendation of the article to the press.

- Recommendation for printing (extract from the minutes of the meeting of the department/institution where the author works)

 - information about authors (name, first name, patronymic, scientific degree, academic title, h-index (if any), place of work, address, position. Data: author's photo (* .jpg), mobile phone, e-mail, ORCID and Scopus Author ID)

3. FURTHER WORK OF EDITING ON THE ARTICLE

After confirmation of compliance of the article with general requirements, and in the presence of a complete set of documents, the article is transferred to the internal review and undergoes internal editorial processing. The editors reserve the right to minor editing and reduction while preserving the main results and the author's style. If members of the editorial board have scientific editors in the relevant areas, questions to the author concerning certain provisions of the article, it is returned to the author for revision or correction. The Editorial Board is not responsible for the content and authorship of the material used but reserves the right to prevent the article from being printed if it does not meet the above requirements. Materials in the collection are submitted to the editor at the same time. Article - through the online system, accompanying materials - by e-mail.

Privacy Statement

The names and e-mail indicated by the users of the site of this magazine will be used solely for the fulfillment of the internal technical tasks of this journal; they will not be distributed and transferred to third parties.
