Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Submission Deadlines: The acceptance of articles closes on >April 20November 20 of the current year.
    To have an article considered for publication, authors must complete the Author’s Profile and email it to the editorial board at eui.zdu@gmail.com no later than one month before the scheduled publication date.
  • Submit the scientific article (electronic version only). Publication languages: Ukrainian, English, Polish.
  • File Naming Convention: Name files according to the example: application_Kravchuk; article_Kravchuk.
  • For authors without a scientific degree: A scanned review from a scientific supervisor or a person holding a scientific degree in a specialty corresponding to the subject of research must be submitted along with the article. The reviewer’s signature must be certified by the institution's HR department or the faculty/university seal.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • Manuscript Formatting Requirements:


    1. Article Length: Minimum 10 and maximum 20 A4 pages.

    2. Page Setup: A4 format (210x297 mm); all margins – 2.5 cm; paragraph indent – 1.25 cm; line spacing – 1.5 for the main text and references.

    3. Font: Times New Roman, 14 pt for the main text.

    4. UDC Index: Left-aligned, uppercase, bold, 14 pt.

    5. JEL Classification: Placed below the UDC code (http://www.aeaweb.org/jel/guide/jel.php). The code must consist of at least three characters.

    6. Author’s Name and Surname: Right-aligned, bold, 14 pt.

    7. Author Information: Scientific degree, position, and name of the institution should be specified below the name in normal (regular) font.

    8. ORCID: The author's ORCID ID must be provided. If there are multiple authors, all data must be specified separately for each author.

    9. Article Title: Centered, uppercase, bold, 14 pt.

    10. Abstract: Follows the title after a single line space; italicized, 12 pt, single-spaced. The volume of the abstract must be at least 1,800 characters (including spaces).

    11. Keywords: Follow the abstract on the next line. Heading "Keywords" (bold, italics); the list of words – in italics. Provide 5–10 keywords or phrases.

    12. English Title and Abstract: Following a single line space, provide the title of the article in English, followed by the English abstract.

    13. English Abstract Requirements: Must meet the same criteria as the abstract in the original language.

    14. Abstract Order: The first abstract in the article must be in the language of the manuscript.

    15. Figures and Tables: * If there is only one figure or table, use the format: "Figure. Title" or "Table. Title". Use "Continuation of the table" for subsequent pages. If there are several, use: "Fig. 1. Title" or "Table 1. Title". Use "Continuation of Table 1" for subsequent pages.
    Source Note: Below the table/figure, specify: Source: compiled by the author or Source: developed by the author based on [source number] or Source: [] (if taken entirely from a source). Use italics, 10 pt font.

    16. Citations: References in the text should be in square brackets, indicating page numbers, e.g.: [12, p. 36].

    17. Number of Sources: A minimum of 8 references is required.

    18. Reference List: The list of references is provided at the end of the article in the order of citation or in alphabetical order, in the original language, formatted according to the Ukrainian standard for bibliographic descriptions (DSTU 8302:2015 "Information and documentation. Bibliographic references. General requirements and rules for drafting") (http://bv.nbuv.gov.ua/uk/node/13)

    19. REFERENCES must be formatted according to the APA international bibliographic standard (http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/APA/book ) (this requirement also applies to English-language articles).

    20. Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 55, dated January 27, 2010, "On Streamlining the Transliteration of the Ukrainian Alphabet into Latin Characters," approves the official transliteration of the Ukrainian alphabet into Latin. It establishes the current rules for transliterating the surnames and first names of Ukrainian citizens into Latin in foreign passports. This standard applies to the transliteration of Cyrillic alphabet letters into Latin characters in the field of scientific and technical information and establishes the correspondence between Cyrillic and Latin letters.
  • Manuscripts must comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for professional publications, including:



    1. Problem statement in general form and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks;

    2. Analysis of recent research and publications that initiated the solution to this problem and on which the author relies; identification of previously unresolved parts of the general problem to which the article is dedicated;

    3. Formulation of the article's objectives (task setting);

    4. Presentation of the main research material with full justification of the scientific results obtained;

    5. Conclusions from the research and prospects for further exploration in this direction;

    6. References.

    The editorial board reserves the right to perform scientific and literary editing of materials and to reject articles that do not meet the established requirements or the journal's scope.

  2. REFERENCES повинен бути оформлений за міжнародним бібліографічним стандартом APA (http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/APA/book) (ця вимога діє і для англомовних статей)
  3. Постанова КМ України від 27 січня 2010 року № 55 «Про впорядкування транслітерації українського алфавіту латиницею» затверджує офіційну транслітерацію українського алфавіту латиницею. Встановлює діючі правила транслітерації прізвищ та імен громадян України латиницею в закордонних паспортах. Даний стандарт розповсюджується на транслітерацію літер алфавітів кирилиці літерами латинського алфавіту в галузі наукової та технічної інформації та встановлює відповідність між літерами кирилівського алфавіту, які використовуються в російській, українській, білоруській, болгарській, македонській, сербсько-хорватській та монгольській мовах, та літерами латинського алфавіту. Рекомендується використовувати автоматичні засоби транслітерації:
