Efficiency of the current air separation plants greatly depends on degree of perfection of the initial air cooling system. This paper examines various options of implementation of the processes of hydro and gas dynamics and heat and mass exchange in the scrubber with spraying cooling water in the air. The research method is based on computer simulation of physical processes in the scrubber with the results visualization through the CFX-5 programming system. It also lists the results of updating the nozzle section of the air scrubber of the initial air cooling system with a certain plant as an example.
