The manufacture of high purity neon is a complex scientific and technical problem. The conventional testing methods of the gas chromatography are complicated due to the presence of such a component as helium in it. The helium properties are very close to those of neon. A special analytical service has been established in the company for carring out the highly effective in-process measurement. The basic directions of the reliable detection of insignificant helium impurities in high purity neon have been analyzed in comparison with the numerous inhouse data. A method and an original device for the technological control of the neon purification process have been described. The gas chromatography method with the helium detection on the heat conductivity has been discussed. The influence of the neon isotope structure change on the measurements results of the small concentrations of helium in neon has been considered.
