Abstract

The air separation units (ASU) of small and average productivity are usually created on the basis of cycles of average or high pressure. Lately the known companies began to manufacture ASU of small and average productivity realizing cycles of low pressure. One of such ASU in which the screw compressors and electrogas-gynamic (EGD) generator-expander useing is considered. The description of features of this generator-expander is resulted, and also expected the characteristics of ASU of low pressure upon its basis. It is shown that change for low pressure in ASU to small and average productivity, incorporating the classical generator-expander, it will be accompanied by growth of their efficiency and reliability.
