Abstract

The method of calculation of the individual types of exergetic losses in multi-stream heat exchangers, which provides for successive elimination of losses components, is discussed. Based on the existing classification of exergetic losses the procedure of elimination of their individual components is suggested. Results of calculations and analyses of exergetic losses for two- and three-stream heat exchangers used in cryogenics are published. Specialities of the establishment of heat exchanger availability by the method of elimination of individual types of exergetic losses are uncovered.
