Growth of efficiency and safety of native cryogenic equipment and particularly air separation plants (ASP) it is accompanied by increase of requirements to quality of heat insulation. The basic characteristics of the most widespread heat insulation — circulate sand which continue to make under even used standard are resulted. For satisfaction of inquiries of branch of oxygen and cryogenic mechanical engineering new specifications which already now start to be carried out by separate manufacturers of pearlite are developed. Requirements of new specifications correspond to the basic characteristics of pearlite which is used by such known companies as «Linde» and «Air Liquide».
