Abstract

The beginning of space age was promoted the creation of rocket R-7 by S.P. Korolyov which became the first space rocket. It had the engines working on kerosene and liquid oxygen. The railway tanks 8G52 for delivery of liquid oxygen to place of rocket's start have been released by «Uralvagonzavod» (Nizhni Tagil, Russia). The mobile means 8G117 and 8G118 have been created  by the same plant for refuelling and refuellings of rocket R-7 by oxygen on start. They have provided the submission of liquid oxygen in the tanks of rocket located at height of 32 m, and their refuelling. For development of the specified cryogenic equipment in structure of «Uralvagonzavod» has been organized Design-Office-250 over which a main designer M.N. Veremjev supervised. The rocket R-7 has put into orbit the first artificial satellite of the Earth on October, 4, 1957. Then on base DO-250 the special enterprise «Uralcryomash» has been organized.
