Abstract

The first oxygen plants which have appeared in the beginning of the last century, provided processes of welding and cutting of metals. The introduction of oxygen and also nitrogen in other industries has caused the construction in the USSR of some factories on manufacture of air separation products. The Kharkov autogenous plant which concerns to such enterprises constructed in 1932. In article devoted to the 75-anniversary of plant it is told about history of plant, its achievements in the past and the present. The owner of a plant since 2005 is the company «Elme Messer Ukraine». The development of large investments has helped for plant to modernize the equipment, to increase the manufacture of oxygen, nitrogen and argon, to begin manufacturing various gas mixtures.
