Abstract

The expander-compressor units (ECU) are more often used in tonnage air separation plants (ASP) that realizing cycles of low pressure. In ASP of average productivity they yet don't find application. The ways of inclusion ECU in throttling-expander cycles of liquefaction of air are considered. It is shown that ECU in them can provide growth of coefficient of liquefaction on 16 % at average pressure in a cycle and on 23 % — at low pressure. The use of low-temperature refrigerating machine in such cycles with ECU results in the further to increase of coefficient of liquefaction, especial in cycles of low pressure.
