Abstract

The overall performance of the piston cryogenic pump is substantially defined by operation of piston sealing. The mathematical model of sealing which are taking into account thermal and hydraulic effects in conditions of a non-steady-state flow and variable pressure is reduced. It built a cell model on the basis of which realizable processes in pump are investigated. Singularities of operation of sealing in pump of cryogenic liquid, possibilities of emersion of the critical outflow in the lock of a ring and formation of a steam bubble in a displacement volume are detected. Conditions at which the steam bubble can occupy up to 30 % of volume of a working cavity are shown. Graphs of distribution of pressures and expenditures on length of sealing in different phases of operation of the pump are reduced.
