The losses in cryogenic systems can be applied as universal criterion of thermodynamic effectiveness. The concrete sense of exergetic losses is considered in cause of different problem formulation of thermodynamic analysis. It is shown that more substantiated directions of energyprivention in cryogenic system may be obtained by comparison of real cycle with the corespouding cycle without technical losses.
