HIGH EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY OF MAIN GAS PIPELINE COMPRESSOR STATIONS

As a result it became necessary to master both new technologies and equipment and also to increase efficiency of traditional technological processes applied in GTS. It has been reported about the work of Frunze NPO (Sumy, Ukraine) which increases greatly efficiency and safety of main gas pipelines compressor stations. For this purpose gas-pumping device may be completed with more accomplished gas-turbine engine GTU-16Р, its power is 16 MW and with efficiency coefficient 40,3 %. Much attention has been paid to the creation of heat utilizers at the compressor stations and also energy-conserving air-cooling units, reverse valves and suction scrubbers.
