Storage of sour crude oil in steel tanks is increased fire and environmental hazard. The system allowing to create in oil treatment tanks of steam-nitrogen gas environment, excluding the self-ignition of pyrophoric deposits inside the tank is considered. The transformation of tanks at nitrogen «cushion» has led to a significant decrease as the corrosion rate and the rate of formation of pyrophoric deposits, but also affected on the structure of these deposits. The union trade tanks with a vapor-nitric environment by gas-equalization pipeline gave a significant reduction in emissions.
