Abstract

The fourteenth international seminar on a topical problem of increasing the efficiency and safety of air separation products production (30th September-4th October, 2013, Odessa) has gathered over 80 experts from 60 enterprises and companies of 11 countries. Manufacturers of the equipment and those who use it for separating oxygen, nitrogen and argon from air, which are required for modern manufactures and technologies, took part in the seminar. The companies engaged in the gas business also showed interest to the seminar. The organizer of the seminar was UA-SIGMA, the Ukrainian Association of Manufactures of Industrial Gases. At the seminar 30 reports have been presented and discussed. In the reports the state and prospects of developing research, engineering and design work on the problem topics of the seminar have been described. Active and interested perception of the information, the contacts with the experts enabled the seminar participants to improve their qualification, to get recommendations necessary for the further improvement of the equipment that is created and used. The content of the reports is considered. The conclusion was drawn that it was important to hold such a seminar in connection with a growing demand for air separation products as well as higher requirements to the level of efficiency and safety of air separation installations.
