A formalized approach to the formulation of the energy balance equations which are the constituent of the thermodynamic model of the low-temperature installation design has been described. It is based on a mathematical representation of the graph energy flows of the design in the incidence matrix form. The structures has been suggested and the features of vectors and matrixes have been considered through which the modeling algorithm of the equations formulation can be realized.
