The turbocompressor installations with a gas turbine engine to compress natural gas and oil are complicated energy technological complexes. In the course of their development a modern method of system design is used. To calculate the thermodynamic losses in the components and units of the installation we need the procedure to determine its thermodynamic perfection. Using the entropy method and other methods of thermodynamic analysis the assessment of thermodynamic perfection of the petroleum gas turbo-compressor installation was made. The installation was made on the basis of the TKA-TS-8BD/0,3-8,16 unit with the gas turbine engine NK-14ST-8 and centrifugal compressor of 8 MW power. The performance evaluation of the installation was determined for the conditions of the design operation mode.
