Industrial gases are widely used in many industries, in a variety of modern technologies. Global and Russian industrial gas markets are rapidly developing with the exception of a recessionary year of 2009. The growth of these markets in some years greatly exceeded the growth of GDP and IPI. In 2013, the global market reached 80 billion US dollars in monetary terms. At the end of 2014, the volume of Russian market of industrial gases amounted to 94.3 billion rubles. From the comparison of the Russian and global markets it follows that the largest consumers of industrial gases are manufacturing, metallurgical and chemical enterprises. Market analysis shows that Russia remains one of the few countries where multinational companies — the main participants in the world market of industrial gases - occupy only about 35 % of its Russian segment. Since 2006, Cryogenmash as the leader of the domestic cryogenic engineering has positioned itself not only as a manufacturer of efficient equipment, but also as the creator of on-site-production for its major gas consumers. The company has built and operates five such facilities; two more facilities are in the completion stage. Cryogenmash, one out of five companies that produce gas in the on-site-conditions, occupies the third place in terms of investment. By volume of gas produced in these conditions, the company is one of the four leaders in the Russian market. The rate of development of Cryogenmash is so high that soon it may become the sole leader by the volume of gas produced at its on-site-production plants.
