The nitrous oxide (N2O) admixtures may reach the quantity of 10 vppm in a marketable liquid oxygen. This admixture is harmful for some applications of oxygen. Adsorption and phase balances in the system nitrous oxide – liquid oxygen – silicagel «ВСМ-Ш» have been explored by an original method. The dynamical characteristics of one of the possible practical realizations of the adsorption purification process have been explored on a practice scale. It was defined that it is possible to get oxygen practically free of nitrous oxide by an adsorption method using a midget size apparatus.
