Abstract

Explosions of oxygen cylinders are the most frequent accidents with serious consequences that are accompanied by loss of lives, equipment and constructions destruction. The carried out analysis of accidents oxygen cylinders showed that the main reason of cylinders destruction is pressure increased of as a result of combustion in them mixtures of combustible gases with oxygen. The proposed before continuous control of presence of combustible gases in an oxygen cylinder before there are filling did not solve the specified problem. It is proposed to make the dropping pressure of gas in the oxygen cylinder to atmospheric pressure for prevention of explosions before filling. Explosions oxygen cylinders can be completely eliminated if they vacuumize before filling up 0,1-0,2 ata.
