Abstract. The study justifies the importance of interaction between different branches of knowledge in explaining the phenomena that need to be rethought at the postclassical stage. It is established that the interdisciplinary approach in the plane of the scientific analysis of pedagogical reality expands the boundaries of perception of the essence of the studentʼs agency, assimilating new discourses. It emphasizes the multiplicity of interpretations of the agencyʼs manifestations, which makes it possible to understand it in inter-, inter- and interdisciplinary approaches.
The studentʼs agency is emphasized as a pedagogical reality requiring disclosure of its essence, taking into account a new level of understanding of the personality and its role in different spheres of life, in particular, reorientation of scientific research in the direction of studying opportunities for pupils to realize their authorship of their own lives. With this in mind, we analyzed the contribution of historians, culturologists, philosophers, psychologists and sociologists to the agent of the personality essence. A comprehensive understanding of the agency in this context is provided by an interdisciplinary approach in which pedagogical science finds its scientific field, solving its urgent tasks.
It is established that the anthropological aspect of the civilization of the 21st century posed the question of the content of education and upbringing, as well as those forms of work that provide the pupils’ conscious personal attitude to everything that accompanies their ascent to the feeling and the formation of an adequate vital position. It is pointed out that the phenomenon of the agency, as an empirical pedagogical reality, characterizes an important ability of the student to be an active participant in pedagogical cooperation, revealing his own initiative and creative character on the basis of autonomous conscious activity.
