Historical and philosophical foundations of health education

Abstract

In article the main stages of humanity development views on the preservation and strengthening of health in context of the general historical process are highlighted. It is discovered, that the forward movement toward the modern concepts of understanding of man’s nature, perfection of his health was related with philosophy of the Antiquity, Middle Ages and Renaissance. The health-focused component of their creative and practical heritage is characterized. In the end of the 19th century, when so-called «Philosophy of care» was actively developing, the heritage of predecessors became the foundation of pedagogical aspects in solving childrens’ and youth’s health’s problems.
