The experimental data about characteristics of optical radiation which arises during bombardment by K+ ions of medium energies of some alkali-haloid crystals are obtained. The nature of emitters is identified. Two kinds of radiation are discerned: (i) spectral lines of atoms and ions, which are sputtered in excited states from crystal surface and (ii) broad spectral bands, emitted by excited crystal subsystem
