Abstract

The results of experimental investigations of phase transitions in some solid states at high pressures arc represented. The influence of pressure on structure and separate physical properties of dielectrics, semiconductors, metals, ferroelectrics and minerals are surveyed. The important role of high pressure method for fundamental research and practice is shown.
