Optical characteristics of ArCl-Cl2 and Cl2-KrCl-ArCl lamps excited by a nanosecond barrier discharge are studied. This discharge is a source of the ArCl(B→X), Cl2(D'-A'), KrCl(B→X), KrCl(D→X) and ОН(A→X) molecular band emission with peaks at 175, 258, 200, 222 and 309 nm, respectively. The intensity of the barrier discharge plasma radiation is optimized as a function of the CC14 vapor partial pressure at p(Ar) = 24 kPa, Ar vapor partial pressure at p(CC14) = 0.13 kPa and Kr vapor partial pressure at p(CCl4) = 0.13 kPa. The dependences of the radiation intensity of the Cl2(D'-A') and KrCl(B→X) bands with the wavelength 258 nm and 222 nm on the repetition rate of the current pulses are studied.
