Nuclear-physical analysis of garnet

In this article there are presented the results of study of yttrium – iron garnet (YIG) films formation processes by means of ion-beam deposition on gadolinium gallium garnet substrate. According to the data of conversion electrons Mossbauer spectroscopy the amorphous paramagnetic films are formed on substrate surface. According to the data of Rutherford backscattering spectrometry the films layer-by-layer analysis leads us to the conclusion about variable elemental composition of YIG films.References
