Experimental results of spectral dependences of absorption coefficient in Cu7(Ge1-xSix)S5I. solid solution crystals are discussed. The compositional behavior of the Urbach absorption edge and their main parameters is studied. At cation Ge→Si substitution the nonlinear increase of optical pseudogap in Cu7(Ge1-xSix)S5I crystals is observed. The contributions of temperature, structural and compositional disordering in Urbach energy are determined.
