Theoretical description of photoelectron angular distributions in the simplest nonlinear atomic processes in X-ray and VUV is extended beyond the dipole approximation. On the example of sequential two-photon double ionization of neon it is shown that the contribution of the electric quadrupole transitions can be observed in already operating X-ray free electron lasers.References
