Luminescent properties of Li<sub>2</sub>B<sub>4</sub>O<sub>7</sub>:Cu polycrystals obtained at short duration of the glass annealing

Abstract

The results of integrated thermostimulated luminescence (TSL) and X-ray luminescence (XL) of two batches of Li2B407:Cu polycrystals (without deviations from syoichiometry and with the 3.0 mol. % excess of B203), obtained by the glass annealing during from 10 to 2000 s. At the given modes of excitation the tSl of the glass is shown to be at the background level, while for the polycrystals of both batches three maxima are observed, the increase of Li2B407:Cu annealing duration results in the increase of intensity of the three maxima, while for the samples with excessive B203 the intensity increased only for the high-temperature maxima.
