Оцінка техніки баскетболістів має свої особливості, оскільки цей вид спорту вимагає поєднання точності, швидкості. Контроль точності у баскетболі включає перевірку виконання штрафних кидків, кидків із середньої та дальньої дистанції, а також кидків у русі, після передачі чи ведення м’яча. Застосування інформативних тестів забезпечує тренерам можливість не лише виявляти сильні сторони та недоліки гравців, але й створювати індивідуальні програми розвитку, які сприятимуть підвищенню їхньої ефективності на майданчику.
