Abstract

The examples of the catastrophic consequences and economic damage from the Novorossiysk bora are given. Occurrence of bora is the result of processes of insuperable force, and the existing climate change scenarios suggest future increase of bora and increase the power of this highly dangerous weather phenomenon in the future. The reasons of occurrence of bora and prospects of forecasting of heavy wind and ship glaciation in Novorossiysk are considered
