The image of musical life of Kyiv in the second half of the XIX – at the beginning of the XX centuries was researched on the pages of periodicals, literature, and published sources of personal origin: diaries and memoirs. The examples of the use of each of these sources for study the image of musical life of Kyiv were analyzed.
It was established the aspects of the musical life of Kyiv that represented in these sources
