Вивчали вміст есенціальних мікроелементів (ЕМ) у волоссі дітей з низькорослістю внаслідок повної/часткової соматотропної недостатності. Встановлено наявність суттєвого дисбалансу ЕМ, зокрема різке зниження вмісту цинку; зниження вмісту селену, марганцю нижче референтних значень; вірогідне зниження вмісту хрому в дівчаток і тенденцію до зниження рівня міді при повній соматотропній недостатності
