В статье рассматриваются феноменология, драматургическая социология и этнометодология как теоретическая основа для визуальных исследований в социологии. Визуальную социологию и указанные теоретические подходы объединяет внимание к повседневности и конструированию межличностных взаимодействий социальных акторов. Так, визуальные методы социологии служат методами сбора и анализа визуальных данных, а перечисленные выше интерпретативные подходы – теоретической основой
